Yahweh is Our Safe Place

The Rock of Central Florida   -

Consider this. In the fast-paced rhythm of our daily lives, it can be easy to forget to pause and find strength in the presence of Yahweh God.

Psalm 46:1-3 (MSG) says, “God is a safe place to hide, ready to help when we need Him. We stand fearless at the cliff-edge of doom, courageous in sea storm and earthquake, before the rush and roar of oceans, the tremors that shift mountains.”

Reflect on this: God is always ready to help, no matter the circumstances. Whether you’re facing a personal crisis or the overwhelming challenges of the world around you, God’s presence provides a sanctuary of peace and strength. Really. Truly. It’s a tangible, real thing– not a fairy tale. When you ground yourself in His love and protection, you can face life’s storms with courage and confidence.

Yahweh God is here, ready, waiting, and his presence is one of omnipresence. His goodness is everywhere. But to be more specific, this is a Psalm– so this is rooted in worship.

Read this in your mind, or say it out loud (or sing it if you’re especially feeling it):

God you are my safe place to hide.

Yahweh, you’re here with me, helping me.

I needed you, so I’m calling you.

I feel your power.

I’m fearless on the cliff-edge

You protect me in the face of doom

You make me courageous in the sea storm and earthquake

You lift me up in the rush and roar of the oceans

In the tremors that shift mountains

So how much more are you with me now?

Yahweh you are Mighty

Be encouraged to trust God completely. Let’s shift our focus from the chaos around us to the steadfastness of His Matchless Power. It is available to us. He is available to us.
