Invaluable Part
1 Corinthians 12:14-15 (ESV) 14 For the body does not consist of one member but of many. 15 If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body.
When Yahweh created His church, he compared it to a human body. In 1 Corinthians 12, He illustrates how the body (church) is made of many parts (people), but more importantly, every part is valuable and needed. Regardless of what the body’s individual part’s function is, its role is essential for the body to be productive and alive.
Too often, believers compare their roles, their titles, their anointings, or functions as to their success or lack thereof within the church or in their relationship with Yahweh. People consider those who are in the front or hold specific positions to be more successful, to be more holy, or to be more valuable. They do not consider that they were WONDERFULLY MADE with great purpose and anointing. Their call is different but just as important. You may not always see the feet of a person, but they are just as indispensable as the hands that you see functioning in front of you all the time.
So, as you start your day, consider your own life. How do you view yourself? Do you consider yourself lacking or not as valued as someone else? Do you believe your purpose is just as important to Yahweh as anyone else? Know this: you are unique, you have a divine purpose, and you play an intricate part in His body! Always know and remember that you are an invaluable part!
