Shore Up Weakness
2nd Corinthians 12:9
“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me”
We have learned recently that if we can do something completely on our own, it doesn’t require faith in Yahweh to see it through. How then does Yahweh receive the glory, if we are the ones making things happen? You see, Yahweh doesn’t want to show Himself mighty in our strengths, but instead wants to empower us in our weaknesses.
Too many people let their ego get in the way of true maturity. They focus on their strengths and boast of their accomplishments. However, a mature son boasts of his weaknesses. Not in the sense of being proud of his faults, but rather knowing where his focus should be (making sure the power of Yahweh is made perfect in his weakness).
Start your day by focusing on where you are weak and shoring up those areas. Don’t beat yourself up, but ask Yahweh to show His perfect power in you, so that you can continue to mature into the son He has created you to be!
