Make Himself Known
No longer do I call you servants(slaves), for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. John 15:15 (ESV)
In this statement by Christ himself, we are transformed from slavery to sonship because we KNOW what our Father is doing. A slave or servant concerns himself with the things he does, but a son is concerned about the ways of the Father and how to please Him, as opposed to doing “good and right” tasks.
On this journey of sonship I have been learning how to walk IN Christ, and not just have knowledge ABOUT Him. If we look back and remember our earthly fathers; we all have a different perspective because we were raised, or not, apart from each individual in our family, but our father was still our father. The great news about our Heavenly Father is, He loves His sons(and daughters) equally and with greater passion than we could ever know this side of heaven.
Today, as you consider your position as a son in the earth, see the Kingdom perspective of sonship differently. Talk to Abba Father, hear and see and He will continue to make Himself known to you!
