It Is About The Kingdom
Recently, I was at the movie theater watching a popular movie that most of you will probably see. In the movie a man was giving a firm reminder to a newly appointed king.
“….. It is about the Kingdom.”
He went on to explain the reasons, and importance of what he was wanting the new king to understand. When I heard this phrase, I went into it. I heard it not as the line in a movie, but as a reminder for sons and daughters. It is about the Kingdom.
What we do, the choices we make, and the way we live our life matters. Because it is about the Kingdom, the expansion of the Kingdom of Yahweh God, and the reminder of why we are here. It is a reminder, that we are called to something great, something holy, something beyond ourselves, and it is not for ourselves but rather all of humankind as we govern from our place of authority. It is for the generations coming behind us and the generations after them. We were created for such a time as this.
It is not about what we think is best, but it is about what Yahweh God says IS the best. He does not see as man sees, but rather calls us to see as He sees. The Father does not always offer explanation in the moment, but rather will give us opportunity to demonstrate our faith and trust in Him. Understanding always comes, but it comes in His timing.
“Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:10
It is about the Kingdom, the Father’s Kingdom, His glory. It about heaven coming into the earth so that every man, every woman, and every child can know Him and remember who they were created to be. It is about His Kingdom being increased and expanding, about our will aligning with His, and our heart’s desire being His heart’s desire. It is about seeing the way He sees and walking so closely with Him that when others see us, they see Him. It comes by our relationship with Him- our thoughts are set on Him, talking with Him, listening to Him, engaging and moving with Him.
My encouragement is this: Put Him first. When we focus on the Father we begin to see things in a new light. He has got us and we are a valuable part of growing the Kingdom, and an intricate part of heaven flowing into this earth. The earth is waiting, and the next generation is watching. What we do, say, think, and choose- it matters. Think on Him, mediate on Him. It is about Him, and it is about the Kingdom.
