Send Me
Isaiah 6:8 (ESV) 8 And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.”
In this passage, Yahweh was asking Isaiah who shall He send to fulfill His plan and purpose. The assignment was not easy and required something. But Isaiah immediately responded and said, “Here I am! Send me.” Isaiah heard Yahweh’s voice and direction; he did not let the situation detract from the plan, nor did he miss the call.
In order for Isaiah to respond, he had to be listening for Yahweh’s word. Without positioning ourselves to hear His word or instruction, we would not be able to respond. We end up missing His call. In general, people are great to speak/pray to Yahweh, but are often slow to hear what He is saying. We commit a “left on read” move with Holy Spirit.
So, as you start your day, ensure you are meditating and hearing Holy Spirit as He calls you. Position yourself to be a listener of Yahweh, not just a speaker. Additionally, be ready for when He does speak and directs you. The situation you face may not seem exciting or easy, but you will be right where He wants you. Be ready for He will send you.
