Love As He Loves

The Rock of Central Florida   -

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Over the past few weeks Holy Spirit has been speaking to me on the perfect love of the Father. Yahweh’s love for His sons and daughters is absolutely flawless in every way. Recently, I wrote about coming into agreement with His love for us. Today, I encourage us to reflect His love outward. What does that look like?

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 is an excellent reference for what it looks like. When we interact with others, are we kind and patient or hurrying to get on to what we deem more important? As we talk with others, do we position ourselves in humility and rejoice with others in their moment, their time, and the goodness happening in their lives? Are we taking the time to listen? Do we find joy in being witness to their lives? Love is a deep and profound, and we are called to love as He loves. When we are positioned in His love it is truth, it is life, and it is complete. There is no lack in His perfect love for us and our intent should be to show this to humanity.

My encouragement is this: set your intent today. Practice taking this scripture and implementing it into your day and into your interactions with others. Check your heart and ask the Father to touch any place that is unrefined. Practice patience and rejoicing in truth. Create new habits of serenity and humility. Stand in the maturity of His perfect love for you, and exhibit goodwill and thoughtfulness to those around you.
