The Blessing of The Lord
“The blessing of the Lord makes one rich,
And He adds no sorrow with it.” Proverbs 10:22
Recently a friend of mine reminded me of this scripture. Tonight while rocking my baby to sleep, I was considering this verse again. I looked into my sleeping baby’s face and thought, “It is true.” My baby is my good and perfect gift from Yahweh, The Blessing of The Lord. Since having my baby, I am rich indeed and He’s added no sorrow with it. Even on my hardest day, I find joy in my baby. When I am exhausted and feel like I’ve failed as a Mother in every way that day, I see Yahweh when I look at her.
Today I encourage you to consider the blessings of the Yahweh in your life. What has He given you that only He can? There are so many reasons, every day, to find sorrow, but you will never find sorrow in the things He has blessed you with. Focus on that today.
