The Oil
“For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20-21
Recently Holy Spirit reminded me of this scripture, directing my attention to the mustard seed. Every time I read this I am in awe considering the size of a mustard seed. Holy Spirit told me, “When pressed, a mustard seed turns to oil.” I looked it up, and it’s true! Not that I doubted Holy Spirit, but I had never heard that before. A mustard seed is one of few seeds that turn to oil when pressed.
I believe it’s safe to say most of us are pressed one way or another right now. It is the season we are in. I want to encourage you today! If you are feeling pressed, lean into that! If your faith is pressed, you are in the right place! The Father isn’t pressing you to hurt you, He is pressing you to draw out the oil. Don’t lose your faith in the process. There is an anointing in you that is unique to how the Father made you and what He made you for – I need your oil!
