Rejoice Always
“Rejoice always,” 1 Thessalonians 5:16 ESV
This morning I woke up just considering the earth. The amount of hate that is displayed every day. The amount of gossip happening every day. The amount of false information given. The amount of people that are killed daily. The amount of families that are in mourning. To many believers, it almost seems like an everlasting losing battle. It hurts. It saddens. Progress almost seems nonexistent when it comes to seeing this world heal and change. Sometimes it looks like while we make small changes, the world makes a huge negative one. BUT GOD!!
We give ourselves the duty of being the difference on Earth, but that’s not the immediate lone answer anymore. The answer alongside that is to REJOICE! To truly rejoice! There is much we can change in this world with our hands and feet. There’s much we can change in this world with ministering through music, preaching, and charity, but I just wonder what would happen if, in the midst of turmoil and suffering, the everyday believer, Christian, or pastor REJOICED? Or would they crumble like someone who doesn’t even know Yahweh?
Ask yourself today! How are you reacting to the challenges you face? Are you demonstrating a total failure in the Father—the God you claim to have faith in? Or are you always rejoicing, demonstrating the authentic, raw, unbounded, and attractive faith that Yahweh fills us with when we truly believe? This is how we change the hearts and minds of people. Don’t wait until Sunday to rejoice. Claim him every time you feel his presence! It doesn’t matter where you are or who you are with. Every time you hear bad news! Every time you feel sick! Rejoice always!!! There are not enough people with the WANT TO and with the passion to demonstrate to and in front of those they don’t know! We have been called to live in such a way! Let’s show the world our confidence and faith in our Father. Allow his light to shine through you in everything you do and every mountain you face!
