The Heaviest Kind of Honor
I Give My “Heaviest Honor” to you!
Steve and Kim Parker, to you both I give my “Heaviest Honor.” I choose to use the word heavy because it is how I feel. The Hebrew language compares honor or Kavod – to weight. I love this because when words such as love and respect and honor alone don’t say enough, we can say, “heavy or weighty.” Honestly, just allow yourself to feel the presence of Kavod when you say, “heavy or weighty.”
It is such a good way to describe the kind of honor that I give to you both. Mostly everyone living has experienced something burdensome and felt the weight of it without anything actually being there, but it is present. However, Kavod is not the kind of heaviness that saddens us, but it is like the weight of your most favorite blanket on the coldest winter – no workday morning. It warms you and comforts you and covers you and gives you sense of security. Selah.
So, today and every day I give you my Kavod. May it bring comfort to you both, in all times. I love you and honor you.
To The King!
