A Language of Awakening
“Then I will give to the peoples [clear and pure speech from] purified lips [which reflect their purified hearts], That all of them may call on the name of the LORD, to serve Him shoulder to shoulder (united).” Zephaniah 3:9
As we continue to lean into Olam and the fullness of what that means, the infinite and eternal, there is a language made available. Our natural mind would call it new, but it is important that we begin to understand that it is more than new. New implies that it was not there before. Our perspective, and language, must change. It is all in the Father, always has been and always will be, and it is the responsibility of the son to enter into what has been made available. It is not new, but rather unseen or unheard… and remember, it is only unseen until it is seen, it is only unheard until it is heard.
In scripture the word lip often refers to language, and several versions of this verse state, “…. I will turn to the people a pure language…” or “…I will purify the speech…”. It is a declaration that the language, the speech, and the proceeding worship will flow from a people of purified hearts, and serve united, joined, and jointed. It does not express this tongue being made accessible to some or a few, but to all so that ALL may call upon Him and serve Him in unity.
With unified speech, and with purified tongue we have the opportunity to glorify the Father! What a sound! It is a language of awakening. It is one of faith in the one true God, it is one that glorifies, magnifies, and exalts Yahweh above all else, and it is a tongue that edifies and strengthens the body as we serve together in one accord. It will resonate and will cause those who are asleep to awaken, those who slumber to arise, and those who have forgotten to remember.
My encouragement, breathe it all in and let Him fill every part of you. It is not new but what is now seen, what is now heard. Let the Living God fill you with His life-giving breath and you turn and breath out His life-giving word. Speak words of encouragement and life, today let your language bring Him glory and honor in all arenas and awaken those who slumber.
