A Sound Mind
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7
As you begin reading this, take a deep breath in and then exhale slowly. Now do it one more time. As sons of Yahweh, the promise of power, love and a sound mind is yours! We could spend all day on each portion of this life changing scripture, but today lets specifically dive into the sound mind. The world has thrown so many options and avenues to help calm the mind, but there is a space that we are called to that our minds are sound. The space where you hear His voice and the noise fades away. The space where the challenges of the day may be present but do not overwhelm us. That is what is promised to you today and every day! There is a sound going out and you get to choose which sound you engage and listen to. If you usually listen to the radio, try turning it off and just being quiet.
Your day is busy, your commitments are numerous, but there are opportunities to cultivate and practice having a sound mind. I believe in you. It may feel awkward at first, but as Kingdomers, we say YES despite how we are feeling. Let’s make His name great and have a great day!
