What Are You Buildling?
“Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.”
Psalms 127:1
Have you taken time recently to consider what you have been building? What about how you are building it? Someone recently asked me a similar question and it has caused me to consider whether I am building the right things, in the right way. When I consider building what the Father has asked, and in the way He asked it to be done, I think of Noah. When Yahweh said, “Build an ark,” Noah didn’t just start building in the way that he thought an ark should be built. He waited for the instruction on how to do it correctly. Noah could have built an ark on his own and been successful, but at some point, there would have been an issue. Maybe it wouldn’t float, or all the animals wouldn’t fit, or it wouldn’t be able support the weight of all the animals, but because he took the time to hear the Father’s instruction on how to build it, Noah saw the fulfillment of the Father’s intent and purpose for him in that time.
I ask you to do the same. No matter who you are, Yahweh has asked you to build things in your life that affect your purpose and the purpose of those around you. For these things to have the greatest effect, they must be built using His blueprint. Consider the relationships you build with your family and friends – have you taken time to hear the Father’s intent for the building of those relationships, or do you just let them happen? I encourage you to ask the Father what He wants you to build, how He wants you to build it, and what He would change about what you are already building.
