The Beginning Of It All
Acts 16:31
And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
There is always a first, a point one, a beginning that is followed by something else. Each day I begin my day with a cup of coffee. Immediately after I sit down and I join my daily Bible reading to that coffee time. The rest of my day will rest upon how the day began. If I start right, the day will end right. I understand there are exceptions to that statement but they are less frequent than the truth of that statement.
The Kingdom of God is ever increasing and we are a part of that. While we enjoy the journey and blessing of being people of God, there are times we need to be reminded of where it all began. The beginning of it all was the moment we encountered Jesus Christ for the first time and invited Him to completely change our lives. This experience played out differently for all of us, but one thing that is likely constant is when we met Christ there was a sense of overcoming that nothing could diminish. Too often this moment gets lost in the living we do as we move forward.
I remind us all today to look back and the beginning of it and bring that beginning back into your present. He is still the Christ, He is still your savior, and He is still very present. Let none of that be diminished in the day you are living in.
