Justice

The Rock of Central Florida   -

“Hate evil, and love good, and establish justice in the gate; it may be that the Lord, the God of hosts, will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.” – Amos 5:15

“But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.” – Amos 5:24

We serve a God of Justice, which is often confused with Judgement. There is a vast difference! Religion settles in Judgement by constantly focusing on failures and shortcomings, entangling its followers in lack. The Kingdom reminds us of possibilities and empowers with Yahweh’s word. Judgement births laws, while Justice births promises. Justice brings truth to circumstances, sets things in correct order, frees captives and releases what has been stolen.

In the book of Amos, we are commissioned to establish Justice in the gate. When seated in Christ, there is an invitation to participate in His Justice. Determine what Yahweh is doing and co-labor with Him! Today, we recognize the responsibility to establish Justice and our birthright to govern. May Justice roll down like waters, and flow through the righteous like an ever-flowing stream from this generation to the next.
