It Won’t Make Sense to Man, and That’s a Good Thing!
Isaiah 55:8-9
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
We as human beings love plans. We plot out the course of a day, week, and even years of our lives. Plans can be good. They keep us on track and help us stay organized. However, if we plan something out, execute it perfectly, and accomplish a goal, who gets the credit? Often, we do.
Here is my challenge to you this week. As Steve taught this past Sunday, Yahweh will often have us carry out tasks that do not make sense to man. They may not even make sense to our friends and family. But how can He receive ALL the glory if we follow our own plans and accomplish great things? This is where religion is born. Someone figures out how to do something and then creates a pattern or instructions on the subject. They then pass it on to the next person showing them how to do the same thing. Yahweh wants to break our patterns and have us carry out purpose His way! He wants us to accomplish greater things than we can even imagine.
Start your day and approach what you do today in an unconventional way. Ask Yahweh what He would have you do, and then be quick to obey. When people see the success, be just as quick to point the glory and honor back to Him!
