Navigating Your Day
Colossians 4:5-6
5 Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every
opportunity.
6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so
that you may know how to answer everyone.
This is such a life changing pathway and encouragement Paul has
released. You will most likely encounter many people today and before
you react, take a moment and consider that maybe they are going through
something challenging and they just need a little extra grace. I
encourage you to respond instead of reacting. It is like working out a
muscle, it may be challenging at first, but it will get easier over
time. Then, instead of rushing from one thing to the next, take a
moment to see and hear if there is something more in the opportunity. I
am sure you are busy and have a lot on your list, but if Yahweh has the
answer for the thing you have been waiting on in the middle of the
moment that “seems” so random, don’t you want to be aware and available
to receive it? YES! I know YOU DO!
Paul is giving us another great key in verse six. When you are
communicating with people, be open, really listen and you will know how
to respond to each one. Sometimes it is a hug, a word or silence. The
answer will most likely be different for each conversation, so stay
awake and allow Holy Spirit to minister through you as you navigate your
day! The assignment is to be available, genuine and patient. Yahweh
trusts you! Have an amazing day!
