Yes, We Need One Another
Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another. Proverbs 27:17
At The Rock we are family. We work together, play together, walk together, love, laugh, (sometimes) cry together, and do life together. Many have said this before, but today I join my voice to those who have spoken the following life-giving revelation.
We need each other.
Recently, I was personally saw and experienced this, and it was beautiful, and I recognized it immediately. I was given the chance to sow into another, and it was my joy and delight to do so. In the process of sowing, I met with the individual I was helping. As is the case with those who walk with the Father in relationship, the atmosphere shifted, and our conversation turned to things of the Kingdom. As we talked, this individual began to speak and share what the Father was speaking to them in their Day. Little did they know, they were speaking to ME and touching a deep place within me. It was a divine appointment, a Holy Ghost set up, and I recognized the moment, bought it up and sold it not. It was an infusion of strength, and an avenue of life that entered my ear gates, engaged my spirit man, and ministered to my soul… and that was not even the intent of us getting together!
Would this engagement have happened had I not been positioned to be a strength to this person in the form of being a help and sowing? Would they have shared words of life with me from their testimony, and ministered to me just by being who they were created to be? I daresay not. Was it sons demonstrating the Kingdom or a battle buddy being properly positioned? Absolutely. It is righteous joining through relationship with the Father that allows this type of exchange and to see the value in it, and I am one who is thankful and grateful that it is available to us.
I would never have known this person would have a key that I needed on that day. I would not have asked or even known to seek. Because we are people in relationship with the Father and filled with Holy Ghost, and because we are a people whose thoughts are stayed on Him and we move according to His word we are always in His flow. When we come together it is always iron sharpening iron by word and by Spirit.
My reminder today is this: yes, we need one another. It is a joy,and it is life when we come together. It is powerful and it changes the atmosphere when the sons walk together, and life flows in abundance.
