Value The Process
Genesis 45:7-8 (ESV) 7 And God sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant on earth, and to keep alive for you many survivors. 8 So it was not you who sent me here, but God. He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house and ruler over all the land of Egypt.
In part one, we shared the experience Joseph had in the Book of Genesis and how the process prepared him for what was to come. The PROCESS prepares you, but more importantly, it transforms you. It renovates the nature of the person, and IF embraced, it enables them to fully undertake their purpose. Like Joseph, there were some aspects of his nature that Yahweh needed to address. So, a process was prepared and set for him. Today, let’s dive deeper into how Yahweh was an intricate part of the process.
Genesis 39:21-22 (ESV) 21 But the LORD was with Joseph and showed him steadfast love and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison. 22 And the keeper of the prison put Joseph in charge of all the prisoners who were in the prison. Whatever was done there, he was the one who did it.
Too often, we approach a process as something daunting and harsh. But as Yahweh is with you, showing you love and favor, the circumstances should seem inconsequential. Yes, the natural circumstances may press you, they may oppose you, and they may even overwhelm you, but if God is with you…
Consider Joseph. He was in a terrible dilemma; he was in prison with no hope of getting out. The one person he hoped to help, the chief cupbearer, forgot him (Genesis 40:23). But through it all, Yahweh was with him and showed him love and favor. Truly, with our Father by our side, what can we not endure, what can we not overcome, and what can we not conquer? Yes, the process may place you in a demanding situation, but Yahweh is there with you. Let the process do its work.
So, as you start your day, reflect on where you are in life today. Consider the past processes you have been through and may be facing today. Do not allow your spirit or mind to be distracted by the natural circumstances, but put your faith in Yahweh. As with Joseph, He is with you; He loves you and shows you favor. Allow the process to do its work, and value it!
