Shipwrecked Faith
Romans 8:38-39
“For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
This is a word of encouragement to start your day with! You haven’t gone too far astray. You haven’t fallen far enough. You haven’t run so far away, that He cannot see you. Nothing you have done can separate you from the love of God, as the above passage states. As we have also learned recently, you simply need to “right the ship,” and you do this by starting small and building on small victories.
Start with simple obedience. Don’t try and turn the whole ship completely around all at once. Make tiny adjustments that will eventually add up to big change! Even if you feel like your faith is shipwrecked, the re-build process starts with your “yes.”
And remember the support system you have around you. You are surrounded by a family that loves you and that will stand along side you no matter what. So as you start your day, take one step forward and build as you go throughout your week. You got this!
