Instruction, Law, Teaching, Part II
“Blessed is the person who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the Law of the Lord, And on His Law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree planted by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season, And its leaf does not wither;
And in whatever he does, he prospers.” Psalm 1:1-3
Part one focused on the instruction (direction, detailed information) given to walk in blessing. Our focus is to be on Him, honoring Him, glorifying Him, walking in His ways, standing on His path and being mindful of the who, what, and where.
Today, we look at the law. Most think of law as a rule, and it can be, but when we see the word law in scripture it is the instruction, teaching, precepts, direction, statutes, and commandments of Yahweh. It is His word. We begin by applying His word, walking in His direction, following His instructions, listening to His teaching, and as a result we look, sound, and move like Him. We are applying His living, breathing word to each moment and move accordingly, and as the Spirit moves, we do as well.
How?
“For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has set you free from the law of sin and of death.” Romans 8:2
We do so by meditating, on the Father, day and night. Our focus is on His face, on His voice. Our sheer delight is to know more of Him and walk in the law of Spirit and Truth. It is always sure. To understand and draw from His instruction in today is a deep unspeakable joy. To learn His commands and listen to Histeaching and guidance is goodness. Sometimes it may be meditation and seeing and hearing His word in a quiet moment or it may be drawing from teachings or command and meditating on how to apply that in our lives. This law of life in Christ with the power of Holy Ghost is exponential. If we look at His word in every moment as “the law of the Spirit of life” we know our steps are ordered by Him- which is the place we want to be.
Set yourself today to delight in His law, His word to you. We do not just DO (or don’t do) things because it was written on a tablet or are on the pages of a book. We do not sit in condemnation of a mistake, or human error but rather repent and receive the atonement available in Yahshua the Christ. We meditate on His word, His law continually because we desire to honor and glorify His name in all the earth and deepen our relationship and communion with Him.
