We Become What We Behold
“And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:18
This is one of my very favorite verses! I was reminded last week by a dear friend, “We become what we behold.” Immediately, when we hear this statement we have a choice to shift if needed. It opens a realm of possibility and opportunity. We immediately begin to consider what we are looking at, focusing on, thinking about. That is our spirit awakening to the frequency of heaven.
There is opportunity today, every day, to choose what our thoughts are, what we are looking at, what we are focused on. It is multifaceted- practical, natural, spiritual, and figurative. Look at it like this: if we focus on what is natural in this earthly realm, it is transformation into that image, one degree to the next. BUT, if we behold His glory, focus on the Father, set our sights on things of the spirit, stand in His word, we will be transformedinto His glory from one degree to the next. We will be transformed to look the same, sound the same, talk, walk, and behave the same as whatever it is that we behold, what wesurround ourself with, what we think on, dwell on, what wespend time doing, and what we let into our gates. It is increasing, and builds. To behold His glory is a graduation of maturity, IN Him.
It is not a matter of whether we can be transformed, but WILL we be transformed into HIS glory? It is a responsibility on our part.
Let’s consider what we are beholding. We are progressing we must evaluate what we are progressing in. Are we growing in Him? Are we learning new things about Yahweh God’s kingdom? Do we think on the Father? Are we maturing in our faith? There is no condemnation but be exhorted today. We were created to behold His glory and to BE His glory in this earth to be a demonstration.
