The Forgotten
“Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God. Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows.” Luke 12:6-7
My word of encouragement today is for those who feel left out or forgotten. Perhaps you feel alone in a crowd or it’s hard for you to make friends or fit in. First, I will tell you that when you can get to the point where you see yourself like Yahweh does, you will have no trouble understanding your value. This comes by simply asking the Father to show you, and He will be faithful.
Secondly, if you are shy or bashful, there will be some risks you have to take. It’s ok to put yourself out there. Get involved in conversations, show up to events, find someone with common interests and start talking to them. Get plugged in. You can’t sit on the sidelines and expect things to change. You have to participate. Volunteer to help at the church (even if it’s something you are uncomfortable with). With these small steps, you will began to have opportunities and new experiences open up to you! You will began to form bonds and friendships that last a lifetime.
