Don’t Beg…Ask
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” Philippians 4:6
Yahweh is always looking at our hearts. He can see straight through any situation, and get right to the very intent of what we are doing. With this being said, it is important to remember that if our intent is set on Him, we will ALWAYS be exactly where we are supposed to be.
This got me thinking about how we pray. When we pray, is our intent to honor the Father, or are we selfishly begging for a miracle? Yahweh does not want beggars for children. He wants sons that have His heart and who line up their will with His will. This can be quite challenging, especially if we have been asking Yahweh the same thing for a long time, hoping for the outcome that we want. This will ultimately lead to disappointment and bitterness.
My encouragement to you today is to put all of your focus into lining up with Yahweh’s will for your life. When you do this, you may start to see answers to questions that were once dormant, when your intent was not properly aligned.
