Simplicity is Key

The Rock of Central Florida   -

“Better is a little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and trouble with it.” Proverbs 15:16

As human beings, we tend to over complicate things. We often approach situations with grand plans and ideas. We over analyze problems to the point where nothing gets done, frustration boils over, and we are left with a whole lot of unfinished business. Maybe this is you or maybe you are someone that just has stuff everywhere. Your house, your car, and even your desk at work is overflowing with things you never use.

I have a word of encouragement for both types of people this week (whether you collect ideas or possessions). It’s time to bring simplicity back into your life. It’s time to de-clutter your mind and for some of you, your closets. Living a life of purpose and joy doesn’t require a complicated approach. Ask Holy Spirit this week to help quiet your mind and begin to return to simple decision making. Seek first His Kingdom. Love your neighbor as yourself. Clean out your car!

Start to make the simple, little decisions in your life and watch the larger things start to take place..things that didn’t require your complicated plan to happen. They just needed your simple obedience.
