Renew Their Strength
…but they that wait for the LORD will renew their strength… Isaiah 40:30
I’m sitting in a room at work waiting for a job to do today, and I’ve started to ponder the value of waiting not only on the the Lord, but for anything in life. I would venture to say that most folks don’t like to wait on anything and therefore they miss the opportunity to be “present” in the time allotted.
There is value in waiting, especially when you realize why the Father has you in the moment. The hard thing is to not try to control the tempo or duration, but to lean into Him for direction. I do know this about Yahweh, He has ordered every step of this day and I’m going to use it to His pleasure.
So today, there is a possibility you may be reading this while you’re waiting on an appointment, or picking up the kids, etc. But if I hadn’t been waiting, you wouldn’t have been able to read this right now. Consider what we might call wasted time, I don’t believe that there is such a thing in Yahweh’s Kingdom! Every moment has something in it for you, maybe it’s healing and rest, and that’s a beautiful thing.
