Hallel Shalem
Praise the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with timbrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe, praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. Psalms 150
Hallel Shalem! I have felt the praise of Yahweh in my soul this past week and reflected on just what does it mean to give Him my praise. To praise someone is to express warm approval or admiration of. In Hebrew the word for praise is Hallel, or Hallel Shalem which means complete praise. Who is more worthy than our Creator and Maker, Yahweh God almighty?
Praise Him in it all. Praise Him in every moment, every minute. Praise Him when you feel high and when you feel low, praise Him when it is easy and when it is hard. Praise Him when you are celebrated and when you are corrected. Praise Him in the day and the night, the light and the dark. Praise Him going in and coming out, upon ascension and descend with a shout. When the fire comes praise Him, and when the rains pour praise Him. Lift your hands high, and pick up your feet. Use every breath to praise Him in every way you are able.
Do it in every place, with everyone and with everything you have at your disposal. My encouragement today is Hallel Shalem- give Him complete praise with the fullness of your being; mind, body, and spirit.
