Clear The Barns
“Honor the LORD from your wealth And from the first of all your produce; So your barns will be filled with plenty And your vats will overflow with new wine.” Proverbs 3:9-10
It’s clear to me from the above passage that Yahweh wants to be the only one filling our barns after He is honored with our first and best. Yahweh has been speaking to me recently about “making room.” This does not mean I make room for Him, because He should already occupy every space in my life. This means that sometimes, I need to look inside of myself and examine the things I have made room for but was never meant to carry.
What have I let occupy space in me that could otherwise be filled with the things Yahweh wants? Has my heart and mind become a storage facility for disappointment, resentment, heartache, or even the belief that I am not good enough?
Empty the barns! Make room for the increase! “Yahweh, help us to identify in ourselves what needs to be cleaned out, so that You can fill the empty space with whatever you want. Not my will, but Your will be done!”
