Huparcho
The Father is awakening those who slumber. An awakening is the beginning of rousing, to be awakened as from a slumber, to suddenly be aware of something. Be ready, and know you have everything you need to rule and reign in this day.
“and Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod’s household manager, and Susanna, and many others, who provided for them out of their means.” Luke 8:3
I was intrigued last Sunday when Luke 8:3 was read and wanted further understanding. The word ‘means’ or ‘substance’ is translated from the Greek word huparcho. Huparcho is an action, a verb, that means to begin, to be ready or at hand. It was used to express I begin, Am, exist, and am in possession (ownership). To break it down even further, huparcho comes from the root hupo- which signifies to be under, and -archo indicates ruling, to begin or I rule, I reign.
Huparcho shows our faith in action and it is how you navigate the secret place of ascent. Huparcho is a demonstration of being covered in His shadow and exemplifies giving from the place the Father has called you to and set you in authority. Joanna, and many others, “provided for them out of their means.” This indicates they provided out of who they were. They began and allowed the I Am to flow in and through them, and THEY OWNED IT. They ruled and reigned in the place they were given authority and stewarded it well. They used all they were in possession of (inwardly and outwardly), all they owned to provide, govern, and reign and it was to the betterment of all mankind.
It required their action, their huparcho because no one could do it for them, and they did not just do it, but they excelled and it was all to the glory of the Father.
My encouragement today, be awakened to the depth of huparcho. What are your means? Begin today to flow from that place of ownership, it is in you. You are ready and you are at hand because He is in you. Yahweh God put it all there- every witty idea and invention, every dream, every ability, and every passion. Be awakened and be ready.
