The Work and The Reward
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9
Yahweh created us to be workers and to be fulfilled by what our work produces. He wants us to make Him our focus, but this does not mean we are lazy people. We have to be people of action. You know that good feeling you get when you have just accomplished something? Maybe it was a chore you have been putting off or a project at work that you finally finished. Yahweh placed that feeling in us.
Now, this does not mean that all work is fulfilling. Yahweh did not create us to “toil” or get stuck in a rut where we do endless work that leads to nothing. He wants us to seek Him and find the purpose that makes our hearts glad.
The world has hijacked this by saying, “find something you love to do, and you will never work a day in your life.” I would contend that Yahweh’s original intent was for us to find our purpose in Him, and then we don’t have to strive for anything. We will be completely fulfilled.
I would encourage you to seek Yahweh concerning what you were placed on this earth to do. This sounds monumental, but start small and build slowly. The goal is to live a life full of purpose, joy, and complete fulfillment.
