Saved By Grace
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this is not from ourselves, it is the gift of God– not by works, so that no one can boast.” Eph. 2: 8-9
Grace is such an amazing gift from the Father, and often as believers, we tend to forget the value of this gift to others that may not be in the same “place” or moment that we are. I am personally experiencing this “nudge” from Holy Spirit concerning a friend that I have known for a very long time. Over the past several years I’ve been able to minister to this individual at least once a week concerning life, Christlikeness, relationships, and other Christian topics and doctrines. However, recently it has come to my attention (thank-you Holy Spirit) that I had not been allowing as much grace into the conversation as I had in the past with my friend. Wow! Imagine that! I had come to the conclusion that, because I felt by the passage of time, my friend should be in the same place spiritually that I was. It was pretty arrogant of me to assume that the grace I had to offer was from ME. I realized that ALL good gifts come from Yahweh, especially grace!
If we could simply remember the grace that was extended to us by the Father when we were coming to know Him, how pleasant life would be. I didn’t have any grace for me because it was Yahweh’s gift, not mine that brought me to Him. The next time I spoke to my friend, I extended His grace into the conversation, and behold, my frustration from “my works” completely dissolved and the true amazing grace of a loving, forgiving God was made full! Go into the day full of the knowledge of Yahweh’s grace to you and everyone who longs for Him. Amazing grace… it’s sweet, isn’t it?
