Celebrating 23 Years!
“Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in preaching and teaching.” 1 Timothy 5:17
This Sunday, October 30th, we will celebrate The Rock of Central Florida’s 23rd Anniversary at The Westin Hotel in Lake Mary! The doors will open at 9:30AM and the service will begin at 10:00AM. This Sunday we will have the opportunity to turn and honor Steven and Kimberly Parker for all that they have done over the past 23 years and for all that they will continue to do! Please, give thoughtful consideration and come with your honor! We will receive a love offering at the Anniversary Banquet. I encourage you to come prepared to sow generously! You can sow using cash, a check, or online. Please make checks payable to The Rock of Central Florida with “Love Offering” in the memo. If you would like to sow online, you can do so through The Rock App or on our website by selecting “Love Offering” as the Fund. The Love Offering in its entirety will be sown into Steven and Kimberly Parker! We will place a basket at their feet for you to bring gifts and handwritten letters! Let this day be full of honor and celebration! There are no two people more deserving of our honor than our Visionary, Steven Lee Parker and his wife, Mrs. Kimberly Koerner Parker.
23 years ago my parents were sent by word and Spirit to this land. I was 6, my sister was 3, and my brother was 18 months old. Our parents packed up the minivan and moved our family from Panama City, Florida to Central Florida to answer the call of Yahweh.
Growing up we had a front row seat watching our parents establish The Rock of Central Florida. We watched them selflessly serve people, day in and day out. We never heard them complain and they never seemed to get tired. Their passion only grew with every opportunity to serve. Their capacity to love people continued to expand! Through servant leadership and honor, they established The Rock of Central Florida. They established a campus of ministries in this land to help, to heal, to bring life, and to join heaven and earth together! Honor independent of their circumstances and emotion is what they poured out over and over. It is watching them serve, love, tend to, trust, and empower people that taught us – me and my siblings – what honor really is. Everything they did, every person they served, every risk they took, was unto Yahweh… and that is still true 23 years later!
Now I am 29, my sister is 26, and my brother is 24. The House we watched our parents selflessly establish is truly our home, and the people we grew up watching our parents selflessly serve and honor have become our family. You are our family! When we look at you, we see with our eyes what our parents saw with their hearts 23 years ago. A man and a woman laid a Kingdom foundation through honor. On that foundation, a House was built. Within that House, a culture of honor has been established. Now, that culture is exponentially perpetuated from generation to generation!
I don’t know two people more deserving of our honor than our Visionary, Steven Lee Parker and his wife, Mrs. Kimberly Koerner Parker. They give freely, tirelessly, and pour out generously. They have dedicated their lives, all that they are, to serve while continually pointing others to the Father and advancing the Kingdom. Testifying with their whole being of relationship and sonship, they give an undiluted precedent to follow. Because of their faithfulness, countless lives are being changed and redeemed daily. Unwavering in their walk, Steven and Kimberly Parker continuously lead by demonstration in every area and are worthy of DOUBLE honor!
