Vengeance is His
“Vengeance is Mine, and retribution, in due time their foot will slip; For the day of their disaster is at hand, and their doom hurries to meet them.” Deut. 32: 35
Did you ever find yourself wishing that something bad would happen to someone because you may have felt offended or attacked by them? I’m sure we all at one time or another have said, under our breath, “Well, what goes around, comes around”, or maybe, “That’s how Karma works”, deserving or not. As believers, we have the responsibility to make sure we don’t lay a curse on someone, even if we say something inadvertently or seemingly harmless to them.
The scripture above says that “Vengeance is Mine’, coming from God Himself. It’s our heavenly Father’s job to repay those who may have harmed you in some way. If we had our way, we would probably spew out more curses than blessings on others and most likely cancel out opportunities for them to come to know Christ. So, no matter the offense, let God handle the retribution part, and you walk uprightly, not giving in to cursing the Creation and those in it. Walk out your day looking for opportunities to lift up one another, speaking the truth in love, and let Yahweh deal with the “pay-back”, if there were such a thing in the Kingdom.
