What Tool Will You Use Today?

What tool will you use today?

“To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law.” 1st Corinthians 9:20-21

Just because you can do everything, doesn’t mean that everything you can do is needed in all situations. What do I mean by this? Yahweh has given us many gifts, abilities, and tools that we can use everyday to accomplish 100% of everything He has laid out before us. The key is discerning what tool or ability to use and in what situation.

Paul in the above passage is explaining that he had to engage different pieces of himself in order to bring different people into the kingdom. As another example, Jesus would be a teacher to some but a prophet to others.

The question you have to ask is, what is needed for this moment? Yahweh has given us all an enormous supply of wisdom and keys. We just have to know the proper use and timing for these keys by Holy Spirit.

In baseball, there is a term to describe players who have mastered all five of the major physical tools (Speed, Throwing, Fielding, Hitting for Average, and Hitting for Power). This person is called a 5-tool player and knows when each skill is needed. Now, imagine a player like this trying to field a ball when he should be hitting the ball out of the park! He knows when to use his tools. Go into this week with confidence knowing Yahweh has prepared you for everything that may come your way. Discern!
