Mirror Mirror On The Wall
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5
Yahweh is sovereign over our makeup and wiring, our personality, our gifts, our talents, and all attributes that makes us, us.
When you look in the mirror, what do you see? Whose eyes are your looking through. We all know that we are all our worst critic. Are you looking through the eyes of your inner critic that is holding you hostage, telling lies and stealing your confidence or are you looking into the mirror of God’s truth?
Does what you see align with the truth about who Yahweh created you to be?
When looking into the mirror we should see:
- Value and worth instead of worthlessness.
- Sufficient instead of not enough.
- Acceptance instead of rejection.
- Competence instead of inadequacy.
- Light instead of darkness.
- Intelligence instead of stupidness.
- Confidence instead of insecurities.
- Success instead of failure.
- Richness instead of poverty.
What matters most is Yahweh’s truth and who He created you do be.
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10
I want to encourage you with this. It is time to renew your mind with the truth in who you are and where you are positioned in Yahweh. In Him, you will find that your true identity is in him. It is time to change your perspective of what you see when you look in the mirror and start looking through the eyes of Yahweh. It’s time to silence your inner critic and break the binds that hold you hostage from confidently believing you are who Yahweh created you to be!
After all, God’s truth is the only “mirror” that matters.
