He Taught, He Learned
Jesus came to the earth with a heart prepared to guide a people. He knew more than anyone else, what His Father desired the earth to be like. Most people focus on all of the things that he taught and forget that Jesus was also learning as He taught. Jesus was able to explore by asking questions. Jesus did not lack the truth. Questions just made room for others to consider some things, and by their reactions, He learned a little more about His Father’s abundant power.
While teaching others about Jesus, I learn so much about others. It ends up being that those very people, end up speaking into my life in a way that they could never imagine possible. I am often filled with courage, resilience and renewed faith. There is growth for all of us when we say “Yes” to making disciples of all nations. The Father calls us to teach and also leaves us the precious gift of learning something in the process, if our heart is open to it.
“For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.” Ezra 7:10
