Where Is Your Trust?
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6
Who or what do you trust? When the above passage tells us not to “lean” on our own understanding, what does that mean? Should we not use our past experiences to guide us in our lives and decision making? Do we want straight paths or crooked ones?
Yahweh longs for us to put our complete trust in Him. This is without a doubt the only way to navigate any circumstance and come out the other side of that circumstance with complete clarity, having learned and received everything that He had for us during that time. If we try to navigate with our own understanding, we may come out the other side, but we will have fallen short of the glory of that place.
I don’t know about you, but I do not want to miss one single thing Yahweh has for me. I want every lesson, whether painful or pleasant. I want the relationships that come out of it. I want His perfect plan for whatever place He has me walk through. I TRUST HIM! I would encourage you this week to trust Yahweh with everything in you. Trust His word and trust the path He has set you on. This path can be straight and full of life or crooked and full of confusion. Experience is a good thing, but it is no substitute for Yahweh’s guidance.
