Chosen Ones and Sent Sons
“Behold my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights; I have put my Spirit upon him; he will bring forth justice to the nations.”
Isaiah 42:1
Behold! Look, see. This verse is a prophetic declaration of what is to come. The son that would be sent and the promise that Yahweh would put His spirit upon Him and that He would bring justice to the nations. What is a nation?
Nation: a body of people united by common descent, history, culture, or language, inhabiting a particular country or territory.
Yahshua the Christ was sent to fulfill this mandate. Justice is sent in order to bring a people to the knowing of Christ that they may have daily salvation. The term nations refers to a people connected by specific characteristics. He was not sent to just one group or culture, not to one people, but rather all. This One came for all.
If we are positioned IN Christ, if He is the son and we are sons, then it would so stand to reason that we are called to do the same. In like manner that He shared the Kingdom of His Father while He dwelled upon the earth, we also were sent into this earth to help humanity and share the gospel within us. We, likewise, are to be a sign and wonder, a demonstration of relationship with the Father. We are chosen ones and sent sons. Not some of the earth, or a few places, not to just to bring the message of salvation to one or two people, but all. The earth will be filled with His glory as we testify and declare His goodness and faithfulness to all of mankind, and we have been given a helper, Holy Ghost, tools and keys, discernment, and revelation through relationship to fulfill the mandate.
My hope is this, may our desire and passion in every day be to hear the words, “This is my Son in whom I am well pleased.” May we be the ones who receive the assignment and understand the magnitude and significance of the task. It is greater than we can imagine.
